Chiefs sweep home-and-home set with Brooklin

Brendan Bomberry really likes the home cooking at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
A week after scoring four times at home, he netted three more and added two assists Tuesday night, to help lead the Six Nations Pro-Fit Chiefs to a 10-4 win over the Brooklin Lacrosse Club.
Jordan Durston also had a big night, scoring two and pitching in with four helpers, while Lyle Thompson had a hat trick to go along with one assist. Randy Staats and Cody Jamieson added to the lead with one goal each.
Brent Noseworthy led Brooklin with two goals, while Travis Getz and Austin Murphy added one each.
On the back end, Doug Jamieson was a standout between the Chiefs pipes, facing 45 Brooklin shots.
With the victory, the Chiefs now have a share of the lead in Major Series Lacrosse with the Peterborough Lakers. Both teams sit at 6-2.
It's a busy week for the Chiefs. Thursday they hit the road against the Brampton Excelsiors, before taking on the Oakville Rock. The Chiefs return home next Tuesday against the Rock at the ILA. All games are at 8pm.

NOTES
With his hat trick, Lyle Thompson is now in a tie with Brampton's Jeff Teat for the league lead in goals with 14 each. Cody Jamieson sits one back. Staats now leads the league in points per game with 5.7, while Doug Jamieson remains at the top of the goals against average category at 6.08.
