Chiefs take final game of the regular season

Now the hard work begins.
The Six nations Pro-Fit Chiefs wrapped up its regular season Tuesday night. After a 9-5 loss to the Rock the night before on the road, the Chiefs bounced back with a convincing 9-3 victory at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
In a game that featured plenty of APs, allowing some of the veterans to rest for the playoffs, Craig Point led the way with three goals and three assists. Jordan Durston added two goals and two helpers, while Brendan Bomberry, Shane Simpson, Jerry Staats and Kahn General netted one goal each.
Ryan Smith, Matt VanGalen and Dallas Bridle responded for the Rock.
Doug Jamieson got the win between the pipes, making 26 saves for the Chiefs.
The win gives the Chiefs an 8-7-1, putting them in third place in the Major Series Lacrosse standings, four points behind hte Rock.
Now the two teams are set totangle in the best-of-seven MSL semifinal series beginning Thursday in Oakville, with Game 2 back at the ILA. Both games are at 8pm.
