Cloutier and Thompson lead the way as Chiefs take a 3-2 series lead

 

 Lyle Thompson and Chris Cloutier each scored hat tricks to lead the Six Nations Chiefs to a 11-5 win over the Peterborough Lakers Tuesday at home.

With the win, the Chiefs now take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven Major Series Lacrosse final.

Lyle Thompson got the Chiefs rolling early with a pair of goals, while  Cloutier and Dhane Smith qdded one each.

 Cloutier, Thompson and Andrew Kew increased the lead in the second period before Ryan Lanchbury, Braedon Saris and Brad McCulley responded for the Lakers, before Smith and Rob Hellyer exchanged goals.

In the third period, Lanchbury scored again to make it interesting, before Cloutier, Ian MAcKay and Andrew Kew added some distance.

 Doug Jamieson took the win between the pipes, with Drew Hutchison taking the loss.

Game 6 of the series is Sunday in Peterborough at 7pm.
