Chiefs offence heats up in Game 3

 

The Six Nations Chiefs offence began to heat up Monday night during a wild 19-9 win over the New Westminster Salmonbellies in Game 3 of the Mann Cup final at Queen's Park Arena.

Dhane Smith and Lyle Thompson had legendary nights. While Smith scored four goals and six assists, Thompson netted three goals and six helpers. 

Thompson led an eight-goal Chiefs barrage scoring three goals, while Dhane Smith and Ryan Smith had two each, before Brendan Bomberry opened the scoring. Will Malcom scored twice for the Bellies, while Mitch Jones netted one.

 Dhane Smith led the charge in the second period with a pair of goals, while Randy Staats, Dawson Theede and Shayne Jackson added to the cause. Haiden Dickson had the lone Bellies response.

It was Staats' turn to heat up the third period with three goals, while Ian MacKay, Ryan Smith and Theede adding to the offence. Will Malcom, Jordan Gilles, Marcus Klarich, Connor Cook, and Ryan Sheridan responded for the Bellies.

With the win, the Chiefs cut the Bellies lead to 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
