Chiefs win at home

The Six Nations Pro-Fit Chiefs are on the board.
After dropping the first two games of the Major Series Lacrosse final, the Chiefs played their most complete game of the series so far, beating the Peterborough Lakers 7-6 in front of over 750 fans at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
The Lakers still lead the best-of-seven final 2-1.

Randy Staats led the way for the Chiefs in the first period, scoring a pair of goals midway through the frame to give his team a one-goal lead after 20 minutes.
Dhane Smith scored the game's first goal of the game, with Shawn Evans and Chad Culp responding for the Lakers.
In the second period, Smith and Kasey Beirnes scored two minutes apart, while Evans and Curtis Dickson continued to supply the Lakers their offence.
Smith scored his third goal of the game, and second on the powerplay early in the third period, while Stephen Keough scored what would be the game-winner with 10 minutes left in regulation.
Dickson and Adam Jones scored for the Lakers.
Brandon Miller regained his form with a fantastic effort in goal for the Chiefs, making 29 saves, while Evan Kirk took the loss in a 33-save effort.
The series resumes Sunday in Peterborough at 7pm, with Game 5 back at the ILA Monday at 8pm.
