Jackson and Smith with seven-point nights to lead Chiefs over Excelsiors

 Shayne Jackson and Dhane Smith each scored two goals and added five assists to lead the Six Nations Chiefs to a 12-4 win over the Brampton Excelsiors Thursday in Major Series Lacrosse action.

After Jackson opened the scoring at. the Brampton Memorial Arena, Ryan Smith added one more before Curtis Ward responded.

 In the second period Dhane Smith scored twice, while Brendan Bomberry, Josh Byrne, Ryan Smith and Chris Cloutier added to the Chiefs cause, eventually giving them a lead they wouldn't give up. Connor McClelland and Eric Ward scored for the home side.

The Chiefs continued to pour it on in the third period, with Jackson, Lyle Thompson, Cloutier, and Bomberry adding to the lead. Mike Triolo scored to round out the scoring for the Excelsiors.

Doug Jamieson earned his fourth win of the season, while Connor O'Toole took the loss despite a strong effort between the pipes.

The Chiefs improve to 6-0 and will host the Oakville Rock Tuesday at 8pm.
