Hat tricks for Staats and Thompson as Chiefs cruise to win over BLC

Lyle Thompson and Randy Staats each scored a hat trick and three assists to lead the Six Nations Chiefs to a 16-6 win over Brooklin Lacrosse Club Tuesday night during Major Series Lacrosse action.
Sam Leclair led the Chiefs charge in the first period, scoring two goals, while Brendan Bomberry, Charlie Scanlon and Thompson added to the lead.
Luke Pilcher, Brady Kearnan and Jake Darlison responded for BLC.
The Chiefs continued its dominance in the second period, with Thompson, Cody Jamieson, Larson Sundown and Eric Fannell scoring. Jack Boyden had the lone BLC goal.
In the third period, the Chiefs continued to pour it on. Staats had a hat trick, while Bryan Cole, Dalton Sulver and Sundown added their names on to the gamesheet. Brady and Connor Kearnan scored for BLC.
