The Six Nations Pro-Fit Chiefs knew the offensive explosion would come, it was just a matter of when.

The win knots the best-of-seven Major Series Lacrosse championship series 1-1.

Matt Vinc showed why he is one of the best goalies in the world, stymieing the Chiefs for more than 40 minutes.
But then the goal parade began.
Kasey Beirnes, Roger Vyse and Gamble scored 1:06 apart to get things going. Gamble then added his second goal two minutes later, before Cody Jamieson finished things off with three miutes to go.
In the first period, Vaughn Harris got the Chiefs going just over a minute into the game. Stephen Hoar quickly responded, before Jon Sullivan and Shawn Evans exchanged goals.
Adam Jones, Chad Culp and John Grant Jr. gave the Lakers a second period lead, while Harris' second goal of the night was the Chiefs' only response.
When called upon, Evan Kirk was fantastic guarding the pipes for the Chiefs, making 27 saves, while Vinc made28 stops.
Game 3 of the series returns to Peterborough on Thursday, with Game 4 back at the ILA Monday. Both games are at 8 p.m.
