The depth at every position has been a theme for the Six Nations Pro-Fit Chiefs, and again it showed Tuesday in an 8-7 win over the Brooklin Redmen.
With several regulars out of the lineup, Vaughn Harris led the way with two goals and an assists, while call ups played a huge hand in the win.
Harris Dhane Smith and  Pat Corbett scored first-period goals for the Chiefs, while Tyler O'Brien and Austin Shanks replied for the Redmen.
The Chiefs were again led by Harris in the second period, with Ryan Benesch and senior B Six Nations Rivermen standout Brock Farmer netting his first goal as a Chief.
Shanks and Dan Lintner replied.
In the third period, Smtih and Jordan Durston scored to give the Chiefs all the scoring they needed. Warren Hill, who also plays for the Rivermen stood tall between the pipes making 14 saves, before Shanks scored twice and Ryan Keenan, Shanks added another to make it interesting.
The win give the Chiefs an 9-1-1 record. They will be back in action next Tuesday, when they host the Brampton Excelsiors at 8 p.m.

NOTES: Also in the lineup for the Chiefs was Josh Miller, who stars for the junior B Six Nations Rebels. He had two assists in his Major Series Lacrosse debut.
