Chiefs sign Harris
The Six Nations Pro-Fit Chiefs have inked another young gun.
Though he's already played seven games as a member of the Chiefs, Vaughn Harris is now a full-time player and no longer an AP with the team.
"With injuries and the absence of our top four right-handers, Vaughn had stepped in and shown he can play at this level," Chiefs general manager Duane Jacobs said. "He has also shown to be very effective in the face off circle."
In the seven games prior to tonight's against the Brampton Excelsiors, Harris has eight goals and three assists.
Harris also helped the Onondaga Community College Lazers to its sixth-consecutive national junior college title this season. In the Lazers' 12-7 win over Nassau Community College, Harris scored two goals and an assist, and was named the tournament's best offensive player.
After helping the Lazers win another title last year, he had an injury-plagued junior A season with the Six NAtions Arrows. Despite playing two regular season games, he had five goals and four assists
. In the playoffs, he had a very impressive 14 goals and 33 assists in 16 games.
