Bellies fend off Chiefs in Game 4

The New Westminster Salmonbellies lived to play another day thanks to a 11-10 victory over the Six Nations Chiefs Tuesday night at Queen's Park Arena.
The Chiefs now lead the best-of-seven Mann Cup championship series 3-1.
Keven Crolwey and Mitch Jones gave the Western Lacrosse Association champion Bellies the start they needed scoring in the opening two minute. But the Chiefs responded with two of their own from Sam Leclair and Bryan Cole. Lyle Thompson, Brendan Bomberry and Larson Sundown also scored to give the Chiefs a first-period lead. Jason Jones and Crowley replied.
The two teams went back and forth in the second period. Haiden Dickson, Mitch Jones and Colton Clark scored for the Bellies, while Sam Leclair, Dhane Smith and Cody Jamieson replied for the Chiefs.
The back and forth continued in the final frame, before Jeff Cornwall scored his second goal of the period, which became the game-winner with just over three minutes left in regulation time. Mitch Jones, and Anthony Malcolm also scored. Jamieson and Lyle Thompson replied for the Chiefs.
Game 4 of the Mann Cup is Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.
