Mann Cup press conference

The Mann Cup celebrations have begun.
Earlier Thursday, local dignitaries, representatives from the Canadian Lacrosse Association, Western Lacrosse Association and Major Series Lacrosse welcomed the Maple Ridge Burrards and Six Nations Pro-Fit Chiefs at the Mann Cup pre-competition press conference at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
During the welcoming, which was led by series convenor rusty Doxtator, Leroy 'Jock' Hill opened things up with some opening words.
The participants were then welcomed by Six Nations Band Council Chief Ava Hill.
The CLA was represented by convenor Chuck Miller, and referee-in-chief Brent McCauley.
Next up on the podium were the league commissioners, Bill Hicks, of the WLA, and Jim Brady, from MSL.
Once the dignitaries spoke, it was the team's turn, with general manager Lance Andre and head coach Rob Williams representing the Burrards, while president Duane Jacobs and head coach Rich Kilgour spoke on behalf of the Chiefs
