Sharpshooters lead Chiefs to win over Brampton
The Six Nations Pro-Fit Chiefs sharpshooters were out in full force Thursday night.
On the road in Brampton, Randy Staats scored four goals and two assists, while Johnny Powless added three goals and four assists, and Craig Point pitched in with three goals and one helper, as the Chiefs blew by the Excelsiors 15-5.
Not to be outdone, Cody Jamieson made his presence felt with a goal and six assists, while Joe Hall, Marty Hill, Tim Edwards and Jordan Durston netted one goal each.
Dillon Ward made his 2016 Chiefs debut, and made 37 saves to earn the win.
After the two teams exchanged four goals each in the first period, it was all Chiefs in the second frame, going on an 8-1 run, before adding three more in the third.
With two wins to start the Major Series Lacrosse season, they now host the Oakville Rock on Tuesday at 8 p.m., at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
