Brandon Slade did a lot more than shake the dust off in the first game of the MSL Classic at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre.
The Oakville Rock offensive star netted a hat trick to lead his team to a 12-9 win over the Six Nations Chiefs.
Slade scored twice in the first quarter and added another in the fourth to lead the way. Steven Portelli added two goals, while Matt Anderson, Luke Van Schepen, Alec Simons, Marley Angus, Tyler Ford, Kevin Dong, and Mike McCannell scored one each.
Tehoka Nanticoke scored three times, and Kedoh Hill netted two for the Chiefs. Deylan Hill, Sam LaClair, Tyson Bell, and Mason Kamminga scored one each.
The Chiefs don’t get any rest and will take on the Brooklin Lacrosse Club Wednesday, while the Rock play Owen Sound Thursday. Both games are at 8pm. To reserve your limited tickets, go to https://www.majorserieslacrosse.ca/contact
